Quid Publishing (an imprint of Quarto) commissioned me to create ‘Sketching Type’ after my hand drawn fonts were seen within another book called ‘Draw your Own Fonts’.
I designed and wrote ‘Sketching Type’ and came up with all the inspirational exercises that formed the basis of the book. It was also partly a sketch book, that allowed the reader to experiment with the ideas throughout the book on related background textures and patterns that helped reinforce the subject matter.
